4 Fitness Apps To Make Your Life Easier

Technology is an amazing thing. It can certainly make our lives a whole lot easier! This is true even when it comes to keeping track of our eating habits and improving the quality of our workouts. Whether you have a smart phone or tablet, apps are one handy way of reaching your fitness goals. There are so many different apps to choose from though. Which ones work best? Here are 4 fitness apps that are sure to make your life a little easier:

1)      My Fitness Pal

Food journaling is undoubtedly an important part of weight loss. If you don’t want to carry around a notebook and a pen, don’t worry. My Fitness Pal is an app that can make keeping track even easier. It is free to download and works for iPhones tablets, and Androids as well. It lets you input food from an extensive database as well as workouts. That means that you can determine how many calories you’ve taken in and how many you’ve burned throughout the course of a day. There is also an online community to take advantage of it you feel like you need a little extra support or motivation.

2)      Argus

Have you been eyeing the Nike+ FuelBand or the Fitbit One? They are great ways to keep track of your activity levels, but they don’t come cheap. If you can’t afford something like that, download the Argus app instead. For starters, it’s free! As long as you have your iPhone on you, it works to track your activity levels. Plus, you can log workouts that you do, how much water you drink, and so on. If you’re using it though, be careful that you have your phone charger on hand. It will drain your battery before you know it!

3)      The Walk

Going for walks is a great thing…but it can get a little dull sometimes. If you need extra motivation or something to pass the time faster, download The Walk. For $3.99 you get a story to make your walks a little more unique. This app gives you audio stories and even missions and challenges to complete by the time you’re finished. It gives you a reason to keep going and can be a lot of fun when you’re going for a walk with someone else. Try it out!

4)      GAIN Fitness

If you need a little help coming up with a fitness routine, this next app may be able to give you some ideas. The GAIN Fitness app allows you to schedule your workouts wherever you are, using whatever equipment you have available to you. It uses both audio and video to teach you how to do the moves correctly, let you know how many reps you have left, and so on. Downloading the app itself is free but there are additional workout “packs” that cost $2.99 to download. So, if you want yoga routines or more targeted areas, be warned that it may cost you.

Use technology to your advantage by downloading some of these helpful apps. Before you know it, you’ll be improving your level of fitness and your eating habits!
